I was 9 years old when I met Eva Coutaz. We had arrived in Provence a year before, our old house being just a few kms away from the headquarters of Harmonia Mundi back than. Eva accepted an invitation for dinner from my parents after hearing how central music was in our household.
A year later, I ‘participated’ in my first Harmonia Mundi recording: Three days raising the manual bellows of a portative organ played by William Christie.
It would be 15 more years before I would enter the Harmonia-Mundi family as a cellist and experience some of the most inspiring musical and human encounters in my life.
Thank you so much Eva, for your vision, strength, fidelity through all these years, and your most beautiful heart !
